***** BULLETINS *****;
Our general recommendation is that business users use Windows XP Pro.
We have been advised by non related companies that their business users
are removing windows Vista and installing Windows XP Pro.
Vista has many many problems. Simply do an internet search on
"Windows Vista Problems"
Again, if you don't need to update to a new computer today, we suggest you wait
until Vista has been longer on the market and/or order from DELL with Windows XP
Pro and a VGA graphics card.
We will release a Vista version in a few months, but beware, it will not run as
fast (same for all windows software - looks pretty, runs slow).

Wolfbay will run on a flash drive. Users can move the RES folder to
a flash drive, take the flash drive home, work on Wolfbay, and then
bring wolfbay back to work the next morning. The flash drive will
fit in your pocket like an ink pen. Please call for help with this
if you would like to work at home or have wolfbay available to work
evenings and weekends on your home computer.
The Enter Reservation Program has been modified to provide better
speed and greater numbers of dates booked. Please run the doctor
regularly during this transition period. Please advise if you notice
increased speed and/or other areas that need improvement.
More XP - We have noted that some Windows XP systems on a network
run slow when the server is a Windows 98 computer. The solution to
this is to make the fastest computer run the XP and make wolfbay
reside on the fast XP computer. The clients then access the XP
system not the 98 system.
Windows XP bug noted - None Critical. XP allows for some random
characters to remain on the screen. You might notice a letter or
number in an odd place. This is the character that was under the
mouse when clicked. We are adjusting for this now and fixing where
this is noted. It has no material effect on the programs.

NEW! - Web Site Professional Submission Service is now available.
Have your site submitted to over 3000 search engines. Click this
link for full details!
http://www.alltheweb.com - Best search engine on the net.
Internet Reservations are available using the ask and answer file
format. Web designers will need to ask for a property number and
dates, we will supply an ok answer. Your web designer will then
submit a completed reservation, which we will then process and
provide a confirmation number as an answer. Web designers simply
FTP a text file to IRES which will then FTP a text file answer back
to the Web Server. IRES searches for your request and will send
back a reply in 1 to 3 seconds.
A typical internet reservation system would have a web page hosted
somewhere off site. On that site would be a link that would FTP
files into an on-site server. That on site server would only be
used to process files and FTP an answer back to your web page
server. The only access allowed to your on site server would be
from your Web page server and then only files of a specified name
would be accepted on site. On site a firewall would exist for your
Local Area Network with one directory being common, the IRES
directory. Interested firms should contact us for further info.

Download Instructions;
1) Your goal is to download the update of your choice and place that
update in the RES directory. Below are three ways that you can
use to accomplish this.
A) If you are a single computer user save the attachment in the
C:\RES directory.
B) If you are on a network, and accessing the Internet from the
Server, you will save the file in the C:\RES directory. If you
are calling the Internet from a client computer, you will save
the file in some other directory, such as E:\RES or F:\RES or
some other letter that signifies what your client computer
considers the server to be.
C) If you are calling the Internet from a home computer or some
other computer than the one you use for the Reservation System,
you can save the file to a blank disk in the A Drive or the B
Drive. You can then take that floppy to your system computer
and use Utilities option number 11, "Install Update Disk" to
copy the software into your reservation system.
See "More Help?" at the end of this document.
2) Once the software is downloaded into the RES directory, you must
run utilities option number 9, "Unpack Downloaded Files". After
unpacking the files, exit the software, return to the Windows desk
top and then go back into Wolfbay Software.
3) WARNING - You must return to your Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP desktop
after unpacking the file. This will clear the program cache of the
old programs that are being replaced with the update. All Users
should be out of Wolfbay when updating Wolfbay files.

NEED MORE HELP??
1) Click on the file you wish to download.
2) Your browser software should offer you a choice to "Save File",
find that option and click on it.
3) A big window should open. The top box is labeled "Save in:". You
need to get RES in that top "Save in:" box. The down arrow in the
right of the box allows you to pick a general area as to where you
might find RES, try the C: option. When you select that option it
should show you all the different "folders" or directories that are
on the C: drive. Find the one that is labeled RES and click it. RES
should now appear in the "Save in:" box at top and our files should
be shown in the big window. Our files all begin with a 0 or a 1 or
some other numbers. If you see such files you are in the right
place.
If you are saving to a floppy disk, instead of putting RES in the
"Save in:" box, you will need the A: drive in that box. Use the
down arrow in the right of the box and then locate the floppy
drive labeled A.
4) Click Save.
5) When done (2 to 5 minutes later), exit the Internet and go into our
software. * Choose Utilities and then choose "Unpack downloaded
files", Utilities option Number 9.
6) Choose Exit from the main system menu. Go back to your Windows desk
top. Then, go back into the Wolfbay Software.
*** If you saved to a floppy disk, you must copy the file to the RES
folder. Utilities option 11 will copy the disk to the RES folder.
CHANGING TO A NEW COMPUTER
1) Everything in the old RES folder needs to be copied to the new RES
folder. Below are 4 ways to do this. We recommend option D. The RES
folder needs to be on drive C: in the root of the new machine.
C:\RES> is the prompt you need to have on the new machine.NEW - Buy a USB Flash Drive - 32 Megabytes will handle Wolfbay.
Use windows Explorer to copy the RES folder to the flash drive.
Also copy desktop Icons to flash drive. (Flash drive cost $30.00)
Take the flash drive to the new computer and copy the RES folder
on the flash drive to a new RES folder on the new computer. Copy
the desktop icons in the flash drive to the desktop of the new
computer. Copy prfile.ini found in the RES folder to the windows
directory of the new computer. Make a directory on the C: drive
named SPOOLER. If you have not used the spooler before, download
the spooler information found elsewhere on this support page.
OR;
A) You can do this with a zip drive (copy c:\res\*.* z:) where z:
represents the disk drive. Then, make a RES folder on the new
machine and copy the zip information to the RES folder.
B) You can do this with FTP via the internet. Zip the res folder
to something like RES.ZIP and then send res.zip to a web server.
Then, make a folder called res on the new machine and download
res.zip from the net to the new machine. You will also need to
move pkunzip.exe to the new machine RES folder to unzip the
RES.ZIP file.
C) Make a RES folder on the new machine, download the software you
need from above and save it in the RES folder. Email us for your
registration key file at wolfbay@wolfbay.com. We will send that
file. Once you save that file in the RES folder you can then
use utilities option 11 and 9 to unzip your back-ups.
D) Hook up a cable to the old machine and the new machine. Map the
computers and move the RES folder from the old to the new.
2) Copy the wolfbay ICON to a disk (right mouse click the icon) and
then put the icon on the new computer.
3) If you have not followed the Windows update path over the years
you may need to redo the command line. To launch our software, the
command line is c:\res\runa.bat the OLD command line was run.bat.
If you are using a new computer you must have the runa.bat in the
command line.
